Congratulation on your
new LightFry!

We recommended starting a short wash program with detergent followed by an autoheat function in order to remove any possible particles inside the oven. Once you have done that you can start cooking!

Select the Wash option on the menu.

Choose the “Normal Program” (1h)!

Step 1

In order to start cooking, LightFry must be heated up to working temperature by using the autoheat function which you find in the main menu. The standby cooking temperature is approximately 220°C (428 ºF). The cooking menu will be automatically displayed once the machine reaches this temperature, you are now ready to start cooking! You can also reach the cooking menu from the main menu.

(If you have not been cooking for a while the temperature drops, it’s an automatic energy saving mode. You can easily heat up the machine again by pressing the button autoheat).

Step 2

2. Go ahead and select a cooking program that you want to run, you might have a quick menu function with up to four cooking programs or a list of plenty depending on your situation. Once you have chosen a program, turn the basket door counterclockwise to unlock. Pull out the basket by lifting it slightly thereafter you can go ahead and load it with the product.

Please note that it’s important to be consistent and therefore need to stay on point with the amount of product we cook in the specific program. If you choose a program made for 600g  of 6×6 mm (1.3lbs of ¼” fry) of fries, then that is what you should cook.

To close the basket container, you do the same process backwards. The three round pins should end up in the thin groove. The cooking program starts when you press the button “cook”.

Step 3

Ten seconds before the food is ready the unit will indicate by beeping two times. Back to work (if you took a break), grab a collection pan and prepare yourself for the automatic emptying. Once the food is completely ready the unit will beep continuously, you can open the basket when the screen says “pull out basket”.

Step 4

You can now slide in the basket but leave an air gap of two centimeters if you are not going to cook another batch right away. Or fill it up with a new food product to repeat the cooking process from scratch. There is no recovery time in between batches!

Leave gap 20mm!

Pro Tip

ProTip! We want to share another pro-tip with you, when it is time to cool down the machine before the cleaning cycle – remove the basket completely and place it on a heat resistant area, the machine cools down much faster when the basket is out! Don’t forget heat-protective gloves if you do this step. You find the cool down button under the wash menu or machine options.

NEVER TURN THE MACHINE OFF BEFORE THE COOL DOWN CYCLE IS COMPLTETED

Pro Tip!

6. End of day!

6. It is time for the automatic cleaning! Start by taking out the food basket, open the main door and remove all components. Scrape off excess dirt and particles from the bottom of the oven as well as the components. Clean the door and gasket with a dry paper towel. Once this step is done you insert the components, close the door and insert the food basket and close the oven chamber. If you are unsure of this step, you can review the steps in our user manual which describes this process in more detail.

You can locate the four cleaning programs in the wash menu, choose the long program after every shift. The cleaning cycle does not need any supervision, you are now free to leave the building!

Time for cleaning...
